Join North Star Speech and Language for FREE speech and language screenings for children ages 15 months to 10 years. A licensed speech therapist will observe your child, complete a standard screening, and answer any questions you may have about your child’s speech or language development.North Star Speech and Language provides individualized speech, language, and feeding therapy to children and adolescents with a variety of communication and feeding impairments related to diagnoses ranging from Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders to traumatic brain injury (TBI). All evaluations and therapy sessions are conducted in the child’s home, preschool, or child care environment. The individualized treatment plan is implemented through fun, positive interactions focused on improving functional verbal and non-verbal communication and feeding skills. We strive to involve the family at every step of the process. North Star currently serves the southern Virginia Beach and eastern Chesapeake, VA area.
